Lykke Li Live

Just got home from seeing Lykke Li live. She was adorable and energetic and stylin'. Her set was short and upbeat and her enthusiasm was contagious. She pulled a bunch of girls on stage during 'Little Bit' to act as backup dancers. I want to move into this video.

She covered A Tribe Called Quest.

And Kings of Leon.

She wore a Kazoo around her neck!

And my sweetheart bought me an early Valentine's present - a cute tote bag.

Good times had by all.

One day

One day when I'm all grown up and living somewhere lovely and warm, I'll cut my hair like this. I expect I'll feel free and beautiful. Let's hope that day is soon.

Humanoid

Humanoid - soft and pretty for spring. Available at Misch.
Delicate pink was always my favourite colour as a kid but I swore it off in high school. It seems to be making a comeback in my personal aesthetic.

Bubble Chandelier

I love this bubble chandelier. It's perfect for above my newly reconfigured dining table. I will make it, I will, I will! Just as soon as I find the time, and the bubbles and the light bulbs.

How-to-make instructions here.

Happiness boosters

I've had the chronic grumps that come with gray rainy days of winter. Goofy music videos are a very effective cure. I recommend:

Jammies

Note to self - on lazy days, it's okay to wear pajamas in public if said pajamas look like this:

P.S.: Add 'chic pajamas' to shopping list and never discount simplicity and a well appointed silhouette.

The Fear

Only Lily Allen can make pastels seem bad ass. Sarcastic pop is my new favourite musical genre. Note the presence of balloons, they are everywhere and on your toast. Do you think that's a byproduct of our generations' affinity for birthday parties?

Bikes!

Now that spring is on the horizon, though still too far off for my liking, I'm hoping to finally get my own bike for cruising around the city.
